PROGRAMS & SERVICES
Hope House provides all programs at no cost to individuals diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, family caregivers and those who are bereaved. Due to COVID-19, face-to-face interactions have been suspended, however we are pleased to continue to provide support via video conferencing, telephone, email and contactless drop-offs.
Professionally trained and supported volunteers offer non-medical services to individuals living with life-threatening illness and their families.
Certified professionals provide services that promote health & wellbeing. Programs include yoga, meditation, walking, Picking Up the Pieces post-cancer group, 1:1 modalities such as reflexology, Reiki, healing touch, etc.
Group support and wellness programs are available to adults caring for a seriously ill loved one. Support is also available to children & teens coping with the serious illness of a family member.
Group & 1:1 support and wellness programs are available to children, teens & adults coping with the death of a family member or friend.
King Township, south Aurora & Richmond Hill Individuals from other areas of York Region are welcome to attend if programs are not available at their local hospice.
AWARENESS & EDUCATION
Educational seminars and workshops on issues of hospice palliative care, grief, bereavement and family caregiving can be tailored to your needs.
