Visiting Hospice Program

Comfort, Connection & Compassionate Care at Home

Our visiting hospice program provides comfort, companionship, and practical support for individuals in the final stage of a life-limiting illness. Trained volunteers bring warmth, presence, and meaningful connection directly to your home — supporting both clients and caregivers during one of life’s most difficult transitions.

What Our Visiting Volunteers Do

What Is Visiting Hospice?

Our Visiting Hospice Program is an essential part of the palliative approach to home care. We offers social, emotional, spiritual, and practical support for individuals in the final stages of a life-threatening illness. With compassion and an open heart, our trained volunteers provide meaningful companionship and support within the comfort and familiarity of home.

Examples of support include:

  • Social and emotional companionship

  • Short-term respite for caregivers

  • Legacy work and meaningful activities

  • Engaging in hobbies, interests, or pastimes

Support is provided by staff and a team of professionally trained volunteers who offer emotional support, caregiver relief, and practical assistance. Each volunteer is carefully screened and receives more than 25 hours of specialized hospice training, supervised and supported by professional staff.

Scheduling Visits

Clients and volunteers work together to determine a visiting schedule that feels comfortable and manageable. Visits are often set for the same day each week, but flexible arrangements can also be made.
