VISITING PROGRAM

for those in the final stages of a life-threatening illness

Hope House's Visiting program is provided by staff and a wonderful team of professionally trained volunteers who help by providing practical assistance and emotional support.  Volunteers are carefully screened and receive over 30 hours of specialized training in hospice care and are supervised by professional staff. Due to COVID-19, face-to-face in-home visits have been suspended however we are looking to provide alternatives to in-home visits.

VOLUNTEER VISITING - During this time, we are pleased to provide virtual support via telephone and video conferencing as well as practical assistance - picking up groceries, medications where possible.

We are hoping to soon offer garden/outdoor visits - details coming soon.

We encourage clients and volunteers to arrange a mutually agreeable visiting schedule. Visits may be arranged for the same day every week or you may wish to have a more flexibile schedule.

SUPPORTIVE COUNSELLING Provided for individuals via Zoom or Telephone. For information, email programs@hopehousehospice.com
